February is a Speaker Night - Tonight we will have a presentation on making a photo book.
This presentation is presented by an experienced book maker and she will show us how to create a hand made photo book. This should be an excellent opportunity to build on our presentation skills.

Dan Burkholder - Dan will speak on Digital Contact Printing and Hyper Dynamic Range.
Dan is considered the top Digital Contact Printer in the world. He is also one of the best recognized Hyper Dynamic Range Photographers. This should be a great presentation. At the end of the presentation you may purchase one of his books. Dan will also be presenting a workshop - details to follow.

August is a Presentation night
"The Magic of Lightroom"
Tonight Bill Young will present on the software Lightroom. He will do a presentation that takes you from image ingestion to Image correction then printing, building web sites, and slide shows.

September is a competition Month.
This month our competition is "Sports Series" and "The Roy Scott Award."
For the "Sports Series" you may have up to three entries. Each entry will showcase six images that fit the category of "Sports Small." You may print them individually or as a montage. All six images should fit a theme or work together some how.
The "Roy Scott Award" This year will be comprised of images that have won a prize this year with the exception of the February Meting. It doesn't matter if is was the grand prize or third place but, it must have won something this year!

Our club is now doing recycling to raise funds for special projects that further the cause of our club.
We provide you with a pre-paid plastic envelope that you drop your ink cartridge or cell phone into and then drop it in the mail. That is all you have to do and in return our club receives money from the recycling company! It is also good for the environment and saves you money so that you don't have to throw them away. It is a win win situation. You can pick up the bags at our meetings or you can find them at the following stores in the Colorado Springs area.
